Attractions
- Tivoli World Amusement Park
Experience a fantastic family day out at the Tivoli World Theme Park - designed for adults as well as children, with beautiful gardens, bars and restaurants - over 40 rides and shows to try! The largest amusement park in Spain. Located in Benalmadena, only a 30 minute drive away from Playa de la Lucera.
- Parque Acuatico Mijas
Visit this family friendly waterpark which is situated just a 15 minute drive from Playa de la Lucera. Open May through to September. The park offers everything for a full day of sun and exciting water adventures.
- Fuengirola Zoo
A very popular zoo - without cages - featuring a simulated rain forest housing hundreds of birds and animals (this website is currently in Spanish only).
- Dolphin Safari
Dolphin Safari available from Gibraltar. Other dolphin trips are available closer to Playa de la Lucera also.

- Miraflores Golf Restaurant:
Miraflores Golf Restaurant is in the heart of the Miraflores Golf Course, situated at Riviera del Sol, where diners enjoy spectacular views from the dining terrace. Directions to the restaurant can be found on their website. Renowned for the quality of its food, Miraflores Golf Restaurant is a must place to visit, and a warm welcome awaits you and your guests. The restaurant is open 365 days a year to members and non-members, serving lunch and dinner. The lunch menu is excellent value, and for dinner you can choose between their special 3-course menu and A la Carte.

- Miraflores Golf Club
This course offers a friendly yet challenging round of golf. Designed by Folco Nardi, the course opened in 1990. With its own driving range and academy, this golf course also boasts an excellent restaurant with live entertainment four nights a week, plus a separate tapas bar oen all day.
- La Cala Golf Courses Resort
La Cala Golf Courses Resort is the biggest golf complex in Spain, offering three of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol. It is also home to the only David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Spain. The natural features of the La Cala terrain have been used to challenging effect by the renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. - Santana Golf Club
Situated between La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola, the recently opened Santana Golf Course and Country Club has already established itself as one of the leading courses in the area. With breathtaking views of the Mijas mountains, and close to the Mediterranean Sea, it is set within groves of oranges and avocados; truly a place where "nature and golf are one".
- Mijas Golf Club
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. and opened in 1976, Mijas Golf has two courses. Los Lagos (The Lakes) has wide user-friendly fairways and very little rough, but several water hazards. Buggies not essential. Los Olivios (The Olive Trees) is a shorter, tighter and more demanding course with larger greens, all to USGA specifications.
- Alhaurin Golf Resort
Located in Alhaurin el Grande just at the back of the Mijas mountains and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This is an enjoyable challenging course where all holes are different and players can feel the calmness of its surroundings.
- Santa Maria Golf & Country Club
Located in the incomparable beauty of the Sierra Abdaluza, the course traces the contours of two valleys in which the natural vegetation, streams, and four lakes form natural hazards. The greens are generally spacious and most of the tees are elevated. Amongst the most spectacular holes are the 7th where the green is surrounded by bunkers, and the 11th, where a lake and waterfall border the green.
- Marbella Golf & Country
This golf course combines all the conditions required by professionals and amateurs alike in order to play at the highest level. An exceptional location.
- Rio Real Golf
The course, which is just 3km from the centre of Marbella, lies on a gentle incline which slopes towards the sea, and many of the holes offer magnificent views of the Mediterranean. Designed by Javiar Arana, the course, with its exceptional natural surroundings, is not particularly hazardous, despite the fact that the river to which it owes its name crosses it on four occasions.
- Santa Clara Golf Club
A new design concept, big tees and greens with no rough on 75% of the course, includes the latest grass-types (Bermuda 419 and Pemcross). Located in the centre of the Marbella courses (East Marbella), with the most recent USGA specifications, it could be defined as relatively hazard-free parkland.
- El Soto de Marbella Golf Club
A suitable course on which to improve your short play, and for beginners taking their first steps. Designed by Manuel Pinero, and opened in 2004.
- Greenlife Golf Club
The length of holes ranges from 88 to 169 metres, the most difficult being the 4th, 5th and 9th holes. This is a high quality golf course lying between a spectacular artificial lake and a variety of vegetation. The club also has a driving range which is equipped with the latest technology from the Shaun Ashley Golf Academy.
- Cabopino Golf
18 holes, par 71, a modern design, with magnificent views of the Mediterranean and the Costa del Sol. 12km from Marbella and 15km from Fuengirola, the course is easily accessible since it is just off the National Route CN340 (now reclassified as the A7). First opened in March 2001.
- La Quinta Golf & Country CLub
Situated in "golf valley", the Club commands fine views of the mountains and the Marbella coastline. It consists of three combinable courses. Although apparently easy, it is in fact very demanding due to the design of the fairways and the excellent quality of the greens.
- La Zagaleta Country Club
La Zagaleta Country Club is one of the most exclusive in Europe. The surroundings of the golf course are second to none, as the fairways are set in a nature reserve which is home to numerous species of flora and fauna. The club is strictly private, for the use of members and their guests.
- Aloha Golf Club
It was inaugurated in October 1975 and is considered as the start of the Spanish golf course promotion and development boom. Situated in Neuva Andalucia, the Mecca of European Golf, Aloha is a natural golf course where no two holes are the same. Neither long nor short, this course is immaculately maintained.
- Royal Las Brisas Golf Club
Mr Robert Trent Jones designed this course on which long drives alone will not suffice, but where intelligence in play is a must as well. The course includes no less than ten artificial lakes and ample bunker protection around mostly elevated greens.
- Los Naranjos Golf Club
One of the most interesting features of Los Naranjos is the significant difference between the front nine and the back nine. It is like playing two different courses! La Naranjos is a wonderful course sure to fascinate all players.
- La Dama de Noche
This is a comfortable course to play, lit by 36 floodlights 12 metres high, with a total output of 130,000 watts. Located in the best part of Marbella, in the so-called "Golden Mile" opposite Puerto Banus.
- Monte Paraiso Golf
This unusual and enchanting golf course is located just a few minutes away from Marbella town centre. It invites the player to enjoy a pleasant, though not undemanding, round of nine par-3 holes whilst enjoying both the game and the beautiful views.
- Estepona Golf
Known as the "friendliest course on the Coast", Estepona Golf is a well-run family business and good value for money. The third hole - the "ski run" - is currently the longest in Spain, measuring 568m from the white tees. The course nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja.
- Los Flamingos Golf Club
The Arroyo del Taraje stream runs through the course and ends in a lake which constitutes a natural boundary. Every detail has been attended to. The course presents innumerable playing situations, great variety, and ample greens, many of which are made difficult by their undulations and split levels.
- Los Almendros Golf Club
A pitch and putt course, set in a valley of almond trees, with magnificent views of the countryside from the restaurant. Designed by Bartolome Benitez and opened in 1999.
- El Paraiso Golf Club
Situated 14km from Marbella in a valley surrounded by hills with magnificent views of the coast. El Paraiso was carefully designed to achieve a peaceful atmosphere thanks to an abundance of trees and plants, and strategically positioned lakes and bunkers.
- Atalaya Park Golf Hotel & Resort
This has been one of the most popular clubs on the Costa del Sol since opening in 1968. Located between Marbella and Estepona, it is suitable for all levels of play, from total beginners to international professionals, due to the flexibility of its tees. Atalaya also has one of the most extensive driving ranges in Spain, where tuition is offered in several languages.
- Marbella Club Golf Resort
Built in the hills of Benhavis, this magnificent course is part of the Marbella Club/Puente Romano Hotel group and, along with villa owners, gives preferred tee-times. However, visitors are welcome. The front nine includes three consecutive par-5 holes.
- Monte Mayor Golf & Country Club
Nestlling in the mountains of Benhavis, behind Marbella, Monte Mayor is one of Andalucia's most spectacular golf courses. Designed by the prolific Jose Gancedo, the course - which has six bridges linking tees, fairways and greens - is ideal for the risk-taking player.
- Guadalmina Golf Club
Guadalmina south: this is the oldest of the Guadalmina complex which comprises two 18-hole courses and one short 9-hole course. Renowned for its difficulty, thus making it more suitable for experienced players. Wide fairways, without rough or water hazards. Guadalmina north: this course runs almost parallel to the southern course. It is shorter and hillier than the south course and has more water obstacles.
- Alcaidesa Links Golf Club
A links course hugging the Mediterranean with spectacular views to Gibraltar and the northern coast of Morocco. Geographically it is the western most golf course on the Costa del Sol, near the towns of San Roque and La Linea.
- The San Roque Club
Set in the southern Andalucian hills, the course has two communicating 9-hole loops, each with distinctive characteristics, enhanced by the natural environment. It offers several combinations of length and difficulty, thus presenting a challenge for both expert players and the less-skilled enthusiast.
- Royal Sotogrande Golf Club
The Club de Golf Sotogrande is located in a natural environment which is ideal for all-year round golf. Its designer, Robert Trent Jones, is particularly proud of his work on this course. Anyone who plays it will confirm its unique design.
- Valderrama Golf Club
Club de Golf Valderrama hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup and the Volve Masters Andalucia in 2002 - 2006. Ranked number one in Continental Europe, this beautiful golf course is always in superb condition and enjoys an excellent international reputation.
- NH Almenara Golf Club

- La Reserva Golf Club
This is an exclusive 18-hole golf course with cork and pine trees, and fantastic views of the Mediterranean and the mountains. It is a spacious course suitable for all types of competition.
- La Canada Golf Club
La Canada is the first public course on the Costa del Sol. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, who also designed other courses in the area, such as Valderrama and Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. It offers immaculate greens, substantial woodland, and the ravine (Canada) on the 18th, from which the course takes its name.
- La Duquesa Golf & Country Club
Like all golf courses designed by the master architect Robert Trent Jones, the Duquesa Golf & Country Club has 18 holes of entertaining fairways and ample greens, where golfers can enjoy the marvellous views of the Mediterranean and the mountains. Particularly impressive is the 17th hole, a 108 metre par 3 - a chalenge for any golfer.
- Torrequebrada Golf
The 18 holes of Torrequebrada Golf Club are situated between the Mediterranean sea and the mountains. It is rich in tropical trees and birds. The large number of strategically positioned lakes and bunkers make each hole a different experience for the golfer.
- Parador (Royal Malaga Golf Club)
This course is steeped in history, as it is where the pioneers of golf in Andalucia hit their first strokes. After almost 70 years in existence, and thanks to constant careful maintenance, the course and installations are still in first-class condition. Located just 1km from Malaga International Airport, this course runs alongside the beach.
- Lauro 27 Golf
Lauro Golf commands superb views over bay and mountains. It is a technical, though not a particularly difficult, course, and has been improved by the recent addition of nine holes. The layout of the 27 holes is becoming increasingly spectacular as the thousands of trees planted each year mature.
- Guadalhorce Golf Club
Inaugurated in 1990, it offers many additional features such as swimming pool, tennis and paddle courts, sauna, recreational areas, and even its own chapel. The design, by Kosti Kuronen, clearly divides the course into two parts. The first nine holes are played in typical English parkland, while the back nine includes more diversified fairways and elevated greens.
- Anoreta Golf
A course which suits all players, demanding from the first tee but with easy-to-play fairways and fast rolling greens, some well protected by bunkers and water obstacles on the course. All in all, a varied and pleasant round.
